Cube Solver privacy policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Cube Solver teaches you to solve a Rubik's-style cube, reads a real cube with the camera and guides you through solving it. It is made to work offline, without an account, and to keep what you do on your phone.

What stays on your phone

This is stored in the app on your device. We can't see it, and it is deleted when you delete the app.

The camera

The camera is used only while you scan a cube, to read its colours. Pictures are looked at on your phone and then thrown away: they are never saved and never sent anywhere.

What leaves your phone

Cube Solver can send one anonymous tally a day: a date and five counts (first win, lesson finished, chapter finished, scan started, guided solve finished). It goes to the app's public iCloud database and carries no name, account, device id or anything else that could tell who you are. We use it only to learn whether the app works for people. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

There are no ads, no third-party analytics or tracking tools, no accounts and no chat in this version.

Apple

Apple runs the App Store and TestFlight. If you agree to share them in your iPhone's settings, Apple sends developers crash reports and usage statistics without your identity. If you send feedback or a screenshot through TestFlight, we get what you send. Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple collects.

Children

Cube Solver is made for kids and grown-ups. It does not ask for a child's real name, age, email or anything else that identifies them, and the name typed in the app never leaves the device.

This website

This site has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Its fonts and pictures are served from the site itself, so visiting it sends nothing to anyone else.

Changes

If a later version changes what is collected (for example, if ads or sync come later), this page will say so before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will change with it.
